Friend Wendy and I drove up the island today to attend a No Kings rally in Oak Harbor. We had attended a practice last month to learn peaceful songs for the March 28th No Kings Day. Indivisible Whidbey helped organize the event. Barbara Dunn and friends helped organize the singing for peaceful resistance. The music broadcast hope and calls for peace along SR20 in Oak Harbor.

More than 3,100 events nationwide, including an estimated 10 million protestors gathered to support democrary.

The Bayview Park & Ride attracted loads of protesters up and down SR 525. Same for Coupeville. Oak Harbor’s rally was already in full swing by the time we arrived at 11:30.

Wendy and I sang and walked along the sidewalk. Wendy received hugs from a number of folks glad to see her. The feeling was one of support and love. A great gathering of humane humans smiling and waving and singing. Horns honked favorably. Here are some photos of my first ever protest rally. It was safe, well organized and promoted happiness.
