Note: I was asked by Christina Kourteva, Executive Director of the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation, to post this notice. Here it is. Glad to promote this event.

Mark your calendar for a public lecture with Scott Shigeoka, an internationally recognized curiosity expert, TED speaker, and the award-winning author of SEEK: How Curiosity Can Transform Your Life and Change the World.

His public lecture will center on the practice of curiosity as a force for connection and transformation. Scott will share stories and concrete tools that anyone can apply to introduce more curiosity into their lives and communities—especially in an era of disconnection and division. Additionally, Scott will make a special student presentation at South Whidbey High School.

His book Seek, according to his website,  “…explores curiosity as a powerful practice for navigating uncertainty, deepening relationships, and bridging divides. Blending research, storytelling, and lived experience, Scott invites readers to move beyond assumptions and embrace openness as a path toward greater understanding, belonging, and purpose.” The book is available in several formats with Sno-Isle Libraries.

Writer/author Scott Shigeoka will speak at WICA March 20th, a guest speaker sponsored by the Trudy Sundberg Lecture Series and Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation

Scott Shigeoka has appeared on The Today Show, PBS, New York Times, NPR, BBC, Psyche, Harvard Business Review, The Guardian, and other global outlets to spread what he calls the “gospel of curiosity.” His website notes he’s spoken as a keynote speaker at more than 500 international events.
